*How much will I spend on food and extra activities?

This will depend on where we are, how you like to eat, and how busy you like to be.

If you are someone who eats three meals a day and you want lots of restaurant experiences, you should probably budget about $50-60 per day or more. Restaurants in Vienna and Budapest are going to cost more than most places in Slovakia. I like to share meals and visit grocery stores, so my food costs are about $30-40 per day. Trying local food is one of my favourite parts of a trip, so I have lots of wonderful places to recommend!

The costs of extra attractions, museums, and activities vary widely, of course. Like restaurants, entrance fees are generally more expensive in Vienna and Budapest than in Slovakia. Most days in our itinerary include one event. If you would like to plan to do an average of one or two more, budget an additional $30-40 per day.

These are very rough estimates for budgeting purposes; please make sure you have enough for an enjoyable vacation!
