Muckle Plum Journeys specializes exclusively in curating exceptional ground-based travel itineraries, including local accommodations, train and vehicular transport, and selected cultural attractions. Please note that international airfare and travel insurance are strictly not included in any package costs.

Because we do not sell or broker travel insurance, comprehensive international medical and trip cancellation insurance is a mandatory requirement for all participants. You are entirely responsible for securing your own coverage independently before departure.

Additionally, while we meticulously select our European partners, Muckle Plum Journeys acts solely as a facilitator. We are not liable for scheduling changes, delays, or disruptions caused by independent third-party suppliers (such as European rail networks, hotels, or local tour guides).

Booking Note: Registration is completed via direct contact and Interac E-Transfer. All bookings are strictly subject to our complete, multi-page Liability Waiver and Passenger Agreement, which will be sent to you via email and must be signed and returned to finalize your registration.

*How much will I spend on food and extra activities?

This will depend on where we are, how you like to eat, and how busy you like to be.

If you are someone who eats three meals a day and you want lots of restaurant experiences, you should probably budget about $60 per day or more. Restaurants in Vienna and Budapest are going to cost more than most places in Slovakia. I like to share meals and visit grocery stores, so my food costs are about $40-50 per day. Trying local food is one of my favourite parts of a trip, so I have lots of wonderful places to recommend!

The costs of extra attractions, museums, and activities vary widely, of course. Like restaurants, entrance fees are generally more expensive in Vienna and Budapest than in Slovakia. Most days in our itinerary include one event. If you would like to plan to do an average of one or two more, budget an additional $30-40 per day.

These are very rough estimates for budgeting purposes; please make sure you have enough for an enjoyable vacation!
