Day 15 - Art & Architecture
Mestský Park This is large green space next to the train station, with a network of walking paths connecting points of interest and activity areas. We can wander around here for a while to enjoy the shade and the fountains.
Bridge of Love & Jakab’s Palace. Heading directly away from the train station, we'll be on the east end of Mlynská, looking toward the Cathedral. We'll cross the Bridge of Love and on our right will be Jakab’s Palace. Built relatively recently (1899) as a home, the building was later used for state functions and social events. It is currently closed to visitors, but quite a sight from the outside.
Then we'll take an unnecessary detour via Orlia and Zvonárska simply to walk through some pretty streets!
East Slovak Gallery Exhibits change regularly. Entry to all exhibitions (including in their second building on Alžbetina) is included in your trip.
